Hi lovelies! Trust you're basking in the joy of the season.Guess what? I had an interview with a beautiful gem
and I decided to share with us how it went and what we discussed so we can learn from her as well! I hope you enjoy it!
First of all,I will like to share her profile here:
My guest is by name, Afolabi Oluseyi. She hails from Ondo State, Nigeria. She is a legal trainee in Obafemi Awolowo University. She enjoys baking, helping others and also a make-up artiste.
Below is the interview with this gem!
Me: Hello Sis,good to have you on board
Me: Hope you're good?
Guest: Yes am blessed thanks
Me: I would like to ask you a question, in your own view, who is a successful person?
Guest: Being rich doesn't necessarily mean you are successful or better put a successful person is a happy person, you are contended because you are fulfilled. (Thats what I think anyway)
Me: From your bio sis, I observed that you're into a few things. How have you been able to balance them and still be the best at them all?
Guest: Best at them all??? I would say No to that. Everything is a process, it takes time and have decided to take it one step at a time. I have to balance academics with extra curricular activities, i do my best but am not yet the best.
Me: Hmm...that's impressive
Me: Do you believe that other people especially ladies/women can get into a lot of things and still live a balanced life? How do you think they can go about it?
Guest: Yes, am sure most of our parents have a lot of things they are doing and they still balance everything. As a woman or a Lady you have to train yourself to be independent and be able to deal with whatever life throws at you.
How do i think they can go about it?? You prioritize, plan, learn to say No and take each step at a time. I wouldn't say am there yet but am a work in progress, like someone said u only have few years for yourself, the remaining years wouldn't be about you anymore it would be about them.
Me: Hmm, love the last statement
Me: So how about this season, what do you think should be the priority of people at this season and how do you intend spending it?
Guest: This season hmmm, i intend to enjoy it as well as make good use of it, improve on my skills and reflect on the year in general.
I actually feel people should enjoy the season bond well with family and also not forget the reason for the season.
Me: Wow, nice
Me: You just mentioned something now about reflecting on the year, can you describe how year 2016 has been for you in few words?
Guest: 2016 has been a tough year i would say, things gained, things lost, lessons learnt, decisions made, faith tested, prayers answered. Above all grace abound.
Me: Glory to God
Me: And what do you look up to in year
Guest: A better relationship with God, i guess if i have that, every other thing would fall into place
Me: Hmm...you're indeed a blessed woman
Guest: 😊 amen
Me: Thanks very much, do you have any word of encouragement for readers
Guest: You can be whatever and whoever you want to be. Don't let anyone or anything discourage you. If you are getting discouraged remember why u started in the first place and always know that your generations to come depend on you, the decisions you make now matter a whole lot. Stay blessed.
Me: Wow! Bless you sis
Guest: Amen God bless you too. Thanks for the opportunity
Me: Thanks very much for taking time out to share these inspiring words.God bless you.
Guest: Am happy i could😊
Me: Wish you a fulfilling and a blessed year ahead and I trust that the next time we have another opportunity to meet, we would have greater testimonies. Cheers sis!
Guest: Amen thanks
That brings us to the end of the interview .Hope you gained a few things. Don't forget to stay happy and delighted!
