Yay! Coming our way this week is our first CPOTM for the year 2017 and it's nobody else but a great woman,
by name, Funto Ibuoye!(Women are really at it this time,*winks*) I definitely have no doubt that you're going to be greatly inspired by her beautiful story below.
Her early life/ Education:
Funto Ibuoye was born out of wedlock to parents who married separate people, in other words, all her siblings are steps.
She studied accounting at Covenant University and she is now a chartered Accountant.
Her Ministry:
She is a purpose driven young woman passionate about helping women live their dreams and fulfil their God-given assignments. Owing to this, she founded the ''Beautified Network'', a for purpose initiative that is focused on enabling women discover and live in the fullness of their God-given purpose.
She birthed her first book, ''Beautified'' in 2013 as a result of her love for beauty. She read a lot of books on beauty and discovered that all of them focused basically on outer beauty. Funto then started sending beauty tips that focused on both inner and outer beauty. It was as a result of the feedbacks she got that encouraged her to put together the tips into a book which is now, ''Beautified''. The book is every woman's guide to true beauty, outstanding make-up, exquisite style and pure inspiration. Funto is also the convener of Becoming Conference.
Her Career/ Skills:
Funto Ibuoye is a brand manager/marketing professional with an international beauty company, ''L'Oreal Cosmetics''. She is also into interior decoration and just too awesome at it.
Lessons you can learn from Funto Ibuoye:
*Your past doesn't determine your future: From her story, she was born out of wedlock and she says she has learnt to be stronger and closer to God with this. She says a lot of us need to break out of the hold of the past so that we can achieve our God-given purposes.
* 'No time' is an invalid excuse: When God puts an idea or a vision into your heart,nothing is a worthy excuse for you not to follow it through. God will not give you an idea you don't have the capacity to pursue.
*The Glam you see doesn't just appear, it is built: Funto started all her stuff in a little way by organizing meetings in her sitting room for teenage girls in 2011 which then turned out to be something big. It's not about how small you start up, it's really about that big dream and where you are going! Start small, dream big!
One very important thing that has kept her going is the grace of God which she accords all her successes to.
