Now, more than ever, there's a strong call-to-action to press forward and progress gender parity. There's a strong call to #PressforProgress motivating and uniting friends, colleagues and whole communities to think, act and be gender inclusive.
My message to all women on this special day of ours goes thus :
Has there been any improvement in the past years of International Women's Day Celebration? Are we indeed ready to Press For Progress? Or is it just another routine or “tradition” that must be observed?
Today is a day to celebrate every woman that understands her worth, that woman that is not giving room for complacency, that woman that is breaking norms and shattering glass ceilings, that woman that is not envious of her fellow woman's achievements,that woman that is confident of herself and holds her kingdom together, that woman that believes that sooner than later her hardwork will pay off, that woman whose shoulders are wide open to embrace her fellow woman,that woman that rises to raise the younger generation of women and instill great values in them! If you are one of this kind, I indeed celebrate you!
I encourage us all to take charge of our lives, be intentional, be deliberate, choose to be the heroine of your life. Choose to love your fellow women, choose to celebrate other people's achievements, envy does not pay off, it rather dampens your spirit and puts you in a cage.
It's a strong call for us all to arise from whatever state we are and Press on! Let there be unity in our diversity, let us empower one another to achieve greatness, there's room for us, so much room, let's help one another to succeed, let's help one another to Win!
