5 PRACTICAL TIPS ON HOW TO GET OUT OF BOREDOM


According to Wikipedia, boredom is an emotional or psychological state experienced when an individual is left without anything in particular to do, is not interested in his or her surroundings, or feels that a day or period is dull or tedious.
I can imagine how so many of us feel when we are bored… We sometimes get frustrated, at times we just go to sleep. I realized that we get bored not because we don't have something to do,  but sometimes because we are tired of doing the same things over and over again, tired of staying in a particular environment for a long time.

What Do You Get Bored Of?
A lot of things we get bored of,  it could be a particular type of food( I get tired of rice especially) ,some get bored of a particular dress, some get bored of reading a particular book or topic(students can absolutely relate to this), some get bored at events, unnecessarilylong conversations(this can be so pissing😎😎), some get bored of a particular hairstyle, for some it's a particular beauty product or something similar… The list goes on and on!

Effect of Boredom?
The truth is boredom can be a destructive feeling, leading people to zone out in meetings and classes and in some cases, resort to alcohol or drugs, in some cases, boredom can also be a force for good, becoming the spark that starts a creative process or leading to greater self-reflection… It all depends on how you utilize that moment.

Let's Get to the Tips
•Be adaptive to change, try something different: The truth is, as humans, there's always a high tendency to get tired of doing the same over and over again because change is inevitable. We are to evolve, grow!  When you keep doing the same things over and over again, there's no room for growth, there's no room to learn new things.
You're tired of an hairstyle? Why not try a new one?  Pick up some interesting topic to read about, it could be an entertainment news, or something different from what you do. “Google” something interesting, check out funny videos on YouTube, read about interesting places to visit in your country.

• Chat up a friend : A large percentage of us have at least that one friend that is extremely good in cracking us up,or good at bringing up interesting discussion! Why not? A chat with that person via social media or you put a call through. Pride goes before a fall o😀😀😀

• Visit a tourism Centre or go sightseeing: I will advise you don't go alone though!  Go with one or two friends, take pictures and have fun!

•  Take up a masterclass on something that interests you. Funny thing is, it could be an online class! All thanks to technology, check up “how-to” videos on YouTube and there you go!  So many of us don't know how well to utilize some technology tools,  start learning from today!

•  Great fantasies help to an extent: Imagine yourself doing what you've always dreamed to become, imagine yourself being cheered on by a large crowd, imagine yourself going on a fun trip to a big city with your loved ones, imagine yourself being at the peak of your career, imagine yourself being celebrated. It's all about your imagination, the truth is as you imagine,ideas could come up! (How I love creative thinkers😄😄)
