So, we are featuring the CEO of Khemme Cakes, Kolade Oluwakemi , a chemical engineering student and an entrepreneur who takes through her entrepreneurship journey as a student. Enjoy the session!
Host: Good morning Ma'am, what's your name?
Guest:OK I am Kolade Oluwakemi ibukunoluwa
Host: Could you tell us about yourself?
Guest:OK I am a Chemical Engineering student of OAU, Ile- Ife and I'm also a baker.
I love to bake, sing and travel.
Host: Nice
Host: What's your family background?
Guest: OK I am the first out of three children, my younger ones are twins. We are from Ayede- Ekiti in Ekiti state. My dad works in a shipping line and my mum is a business woman.
Host:Great
Host: So you said you are a baker, could you take us a little bit into your entrepreneurship/baking journey?
Guest: OK I started baking as a business in my part 3, and Its been challenging and wonderful. They were so many days of baking a cake and having to redo them because they didn't come out well, Also days of baking a cake and giving myself thumbs up of a job well-done and I have learnt a whole lot. I have learnt customer service skills, how the business works, to be accountable and reliable,to always improve on myself, never to give up, to multitask since I am also a student, and I am still learning more.

Guest: Yeah
Host: How did you learn how to Bake?
Guest:: I went to a training school named Bake 'N' frost in ikorodu during the six months strike in my part 1.
Host: Wow
Host: How long did the training last?
Guest:3months
Host:Do you have a mentor? Are there people you look up to in the baking industry?
Guest:: Yes
Guest :CEO of Dewdrops cakes, CEO of Dripple cakes, cakes by Tosan and Rbi cakes.They are awesome
Host: Great! What are their names?
Guest: CEO dewdrops is Mrs Ezinne Okonkwo ,Dripple cakes by Tarela Okene, and Cakes by Tosan ,Mr Tosan Jemide
Host: How have you been able to balance baking with academics and other things?
Guest: It's been really challenging, but I try to know the things I can do within a short time and the ones that will take me a while to do and then allocate time to each one of them
Host: Awesome
Guest Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it doesn't but wen does time comes I try to deal with it and still come out good
Host: Where do you see yourself in the next 5 years?
Guest: I see myself has a chemical engineer and also an entrepreneur whose business has structure and it's able to serve it's environment efficiently and with love.The business there is KhemeeCakes
Host: Great
Host : How do you intend fusing entrepreneurship with your engineering career?
Guest: I mentioned building a structure earlier, one that can stand on its own without needing me to be around 24/7.
Host: That's cool. What advice would you give to people most especially students that would love to venture into entrepreneurship?
Guest:To be strong and move on no matter what comes their way ,to be strong, patient and keep learning
Host: What’s your life philosophy?
Guest: I’m a work in progress, Be strong ,because God’s got me always
