Her full name is Tolulope Adesua Etomi Wellington.
She is the youngest of three children. Adesua Etomi was born on the 22nd of February, 1988, in Owerri, Imo State. Her father is a soldier from Esan, Edo state and her mother is a Civil Engineer.
Adesua Etomi has always had a passion for acting right from childhood. At the age of 7, she became a member of the drama club at primary school, Corona School, Victoria Island.
Adesua moved to the UK when she was 13 years old. She obtained a diploma in music theater, physical theater, and performing arts from The City College in Coventry, United Kingdom. The future star also graduated the University of Wolverhampton in 2009 with First-class Honours in drama and performance.
This Nollywood pearl is a multi-talented person. In her leisure times, Adesua enjoys singing, dancing, playing the guitar and swimming.
Adesua Etomi started her acting career in the theater while studying in the UK. She featured in different plays such as "The Crucible", "Miss Saigon" and lots more.
After graduating from the university, Adesua ventured away from acting for three years to experience the world.
She returned back to acting in 2012, featuring at the Saga Tiata-Edinburg Fringe Festival in a drama titled "The Miller’s Tale". After moving to Nigeria, Adesua featured in different plays such as "Anatomy Of A Woman", "Shattered", "Crystal Slippers", "London Life Lagos Living", and lots more.
Adesua Etomi got her first big screen movie role in 2014, starring as Debbie in the movie, “Knocking on Heaven’s Door”. Since then, she has featured in a couple of movies that include:
1. "Fall"
2. "A Soldier’s Story"
3. "Out of Luck"
4. "The Arbitration"
5. "The Wedding Party"
6. "Ayamma: Music In The Desert"
7. "10 Days In Suncity"
She has also featured in Television Series such as "Gidi Up", "Las Gidi Cops" and "Shuga".
Adesua Etomi was also a reporter/presenter at one point in 2012.
Adesua Etomi has won 5 awards so far. They include:
1. Foresight Theatre Award for Best Performance in a devised Piece of work (2009)
2. Nollywood Reinvented Award for Best New Actress (2014)
3. Golden Movie Award for Discovery of the Year (2015)
4. ELOY Award for Actress of the Year-Big Screen (2015)
5. Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Award for Best Actress in a Dram (2016)
She is happily married to Banky Wellington.
